It is our please to inform you that one the 2018 Baochain Grantees (Mariette Agbohessou) is selected for Tony Elumelu Foundation entrepreneurship programme 2019. Mariette and her four other classmates elaborated a project to produce and commercialize fresh baobab leaves for local consumption. The project named BAO-LEAVES will commercialize both both fresh leaves and powder of leaves. The production technique will use organic manure instead of chemical fertilizers. The products will be distributed in local supermarkers directly to households, in restaurants, etc. The project is intended not only to reduce food insecurity but also contribute to healthy environment free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
